What I think it means:
If you lie, you will regret things, and those things will replay in your mind over and over again. If you tell the truth then you will regret nothing because you'll accept that you did wrong and carry on throughout the days. Its better to get things off you chest then to lie. Lying
will give you guilt inside because lying is what you shouldnt do.
